Jet Airways incurs a loss of $43m


Jet Airways recently reported a net loss of $43m in the last quarter ended Dec'13. Not to  be forgotten that Jet last year sold a 24 percent of its stakes to Abu-Dhabi based Etihad Airways had cataloged a profit of Rs 85 crore. Increase in the fuel prices, airport charges and rupee deflation continued to impact the costs in the current quarter, the carrier said. Etihad invested Rs 2057 crore for the 24 percent share in Jet in Nov'13. As for now the Jet is looking forward to expand its flights to the Europe and Gulf.
